I live in Sherman Oaks now, and I will only take my car to see Shant there in Burbank. He is great at what he does and he's mind bogglingly reasonable. My car needed a lot done, rather than pick the most expensive things that would make him the most money, WE went through and he showed me what should be done now (and why), and what can wait a few months when I have more money. He gave me a price, then when I picked it up it was less than what he quoted me. This may have been a unique situation, but the point is, he didn't charge me what I was expecting to pay despite it being cheaper to repair, and pocketing the change. I've not dealt with the other guys that work there too often, but I don't reckon that some one as nice as Shant would surround himself with people who aren't on the same page, you know? Anyways, I've finally "got a guy". In the sense that when you're having a conversation and someone says "yeah I need my _________ fixed", I can say "I got a guy", which is cool.
